Action & Adventure

Exploration, stealth, and high-octane action.

❤️ Assassin's Creed Odyssey (2020)

I've loved Greek mythology all my life so this was an amazing experience. Very nice variety in play styles (ranger/warrior/assassin), and constant loots and upgrades made for an addictive gameplay loop. I've spent ~150 hours on this including the DLCs (Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis).

❤️ Assassin's Creed Origins (2021)

Everyone said this was better than Odyssey and indeed it is. The side quests are way better and everything feels well designed.

❤️ Assassin's Creed Valhalla (2024)

It is immensely satisfying to have an overpowered assassin + archer build and take down an entire camp silently.

❤️ Far Cry 5 (2019)

Probably my favourite game on the console. Amazing open world, supports a lot of play styles, nice co-op AI partners.

❤️ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

A great game to end the year. Feels like a movie and the visuals are just stunning. Special mention to the voice actor (Troy Baker) for nailing Indiana Jones' voice and personality perfectly.

❤️ Rise of the Tomb Raider (2019)

Probably my favourite series. I have fond memories of playing Tomb Raider: Legend on my PS2. I love how vertical this whole game is.

❤️ Tomb Raider (2026)

Replayed this game and still absolutely adore it. This is the 2013 reboot and has a lovely mix of exploration and combat. The Tombs themselves are a bit simple but the overall level design, the traversal, and combat are excellently tuned. Cannot fault a game that uses bow-and-arrow so well.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2019)

Fun game, great visuals and stealth sections.

Far Cry 4 (2019)

Almost as good as 5. Better story as well.

Watch Dogs (2019) & Watch Dogs 2 (2020)

WD2 has a beautiful open world and a satirical take on Silicon Valley. Stealth gameplay can be annoying but it shines when played aggressively.

Watch Dogs: Legion (2025)

Enjoyable, but probably the weakest of the trilogy. The idea of recruiting anyone is fun at first but didn't make a huge difference over time.

Thief (2020)

An enjoyable game. I loved their stealth implementation (over other games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided). There were some truly thrilling moments during the game.

Batman: Arkham Knight (2019)

Disappointing. Too much driving.

Batman: The Telltale Series & The Enemy Within (2022)

Fun games with some nice detecting additions. The Shadows Edition is beautiful.

Ryse: Son of Rome (2021)

A lovely, violent game. Perfectly sized and mixed mechanics well.

Ghostwire: Tokyo (2023)

The side quests are pretty well made and there is always something right around the corner that keeps you playing.
