Shooters (FPS)¶
Fast-paced action and military epics.
❤️ Doom (2016) (2023)¶
Pure, unadulterated fun. Waves of enemies keep the pressure up and the weapons are immensely satisfying. Aggressive and fast.
❤️ Titanfall 2 (2019)¶
Absolutely phenomenal single-player campaign. One of the few games I've gone back to and replayed. Movement is just sublime.
❤️ Halo: Reach (2021) & Halo: Infinite (2022)¶
Reach blew me away both gameplay and story-wise. Infinite's move to open-world and the grappleshot are huge improvements.
Halo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & ODST (2021-2022)¶
Finished the entire series. Reach is my favourite alongside Infinite. ODST was a short and sweet game. Halo 5 has a decent campaign, though I had no idea what was going on story-wise since it was my first Halo.
Homefront: The Revolution (2019)¶
Ignore the reviews, this is a fun game. Very nice tension where you're initially avoiding an overpowered enemy, and slowly instigating a rebellion.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2019)¶
Tolerable single player campaign. Titanfall 2 does this kind of thing a lot better.
❤️ Gears of War (Series) (2020)¶
Mindless fun. Finished the entire legacy series. Phenomenal weapons like the Hammer of Dawn and Lancer.
Prodeus (2023)¶
An affectionate tribute to early FPSs like Doom. Very pretty to look at and a blast to play.
The Callisto Protocol & Dead Space (2023)¶
Dead Space is a flawless remake. Callisto is very pretty to look at and just the right length.
High on Life (2022)¶
Crude, funny and a breath of fresh air. Filled with fun easter eggs and humor.
Rage 2 (2020)¶
Loved the post-apocalyptic world-design.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (2023)¶
A well-made, humorous game in a lovely Western setting. Sniping from afar is a blast.
